Meet Angela Librandi
Vocalist, Performer Educator
Angela has defied all odds and has one of the hardest and longest working careers in the music industry. It was more than 25 years ago when Angela Librandi discovered she had a ‘voice’ made for singing and performing.
Born and raised in South Australia to Italian parents, Angela’s powerhouse vocals have taken her across Australia and around the world. She began working as a full-time singer at 21, touring the north of Australia in musicals, singing at the Adelaide Grand Prix, and performing alongside the legendary Venetta Fields.
After moving to Melbourne, her first gig was touring with one of Australia’s biggest stars — Tina Arena. From there, she quickly became a regular face (and voice) on national television, joining the house bands for Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush, In Melbourne Tonight, and Hey Hey It’s Saturday.
Angela’s unmistakable voice was a fixture on Good Morning Australia for 10 years and also appeared on The Midday Show, The Panel, Channel 7’s Good Friday Appeal, and more. she’s recorded vocals heard on shows such as Dancing with the Stars and Australian Idol.
Over the years, Angela has backed some of the industry’s best: Vanessa Amorosi, Ross Wilson, Renee Geyer, Kate Ceberano, Marcia Hines, Thelma Houston, Jimmy Barnes, Brian Cadd, Eric Benét, Jessica Mauboy, and most recently, Hugh Jackman. She’s even performed for Sir Richard Branson and supported the one and only Chaka Khan — a career highlight.
Internationally, Angela has performed at high-profile corporate events across Italy, Fiji, Borneo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, Hawaii, Bali, and Kuala Lumpur. Her style blends neo soul, R&B and jazz — always with a live energy that gets the crowd on their feet.
Today, Angela shares her voice and knowledge as a vocal coach, working with teenagers and professional singers alike. She also leads For the Love of It, a soulful Gospel/R&B choir based in Carnegie.
